Ex-Proof Electrical Enclosure – Stainless Steel 316L
Deckro’s Ex-Proof (explosion-proof) electrical enclosures are specifically engineered to ensure the safety of electrical equipment in hazardous gas and dust environments. These enclosures are ideal for use in oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, mining sites, refineries, shipyards, and other high-risk industrial applications. The enclosure body is manufactured from high-grade stainless steel 316L, offering excellent corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability.
Design and Construction Features
Material: Stainless Steel 316L (1.4404) compliant with EN 10088, highly resistant to seawater and chemicals.
Body & Door Thickness: Available in 1.2 mm or 1.5 mm for enhanced mechanical strength.
Mounting Plate: 2 mm thick steel plate ensures robust equipment support.
Surface Finish: Scotch-brite brushed surface for improved corrosion resistance and aesthetic appearance.
Protection and Durability
Ingress Protection: Rated IP66 according to TS 3033 / EN 60529, providing complete protection against dust and powerful water jets.
Impact Resistance: Withstands mechanical impacts up to 7 Joules, ensuring reliability in harsh field conditions.
Sealing: Integrated foamed-in polyurethane (PU) gasket in the door offers excellent sealing performance within a temperature range of -40°C to +100°C.
Door Features: Removable, padlockable, screw-type solid door allows secure access. Concealed hinges maintain a sleek design.
Terminal Mounting: Compatible with both horizontal and vertical terminal arrangements.
